Every Fourth of July, the Doo Dah Parade brings the fun to the Short North in Columbus, Ohio. Celebrating “satire, liberty and lunacy,” the parade has been around since 1983. Anyone can participate in the parade and Wedding Officiant Scott Hammond got the idea to marry a couple along the parade route. He put out a call in 614 magazine and Morgan + Jamie answered that call. They walked the route in the summer heat and even drank liquor shots fired from water gun blasters. Crowds cheered as they passed. Towards the end of the route and in front of waiting friends and family, they said, “I Do Dah!”
After a short break to cool off, they hosted their stunning reception at Strongwater Food and Spirits.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from this unique wedding!
