Summer Ale House 1890 Loft Elopement

Since 1890, 151 West Main Street provided spirits and good times to the city of Lancaster. In 2014, the location was expanded and now at 149 West Main Street, Ale House 1890 continues that tradition with great bistro-style food and libations in the historic downtown Lancaster setting. The upstairs loft made the perfect location for Amy + Bill’s August Elopement.

Before arriving at the venue, Amy had hair and makeup completed at Ireland’s Spa Canal Winchester. Once she arrived at the loft, she was helped into her Perfect Weddings of Lancaster dress by her friends. Good Earth provided the flowers.

Amy was walked down the aisle by her father where a small group of family members waited. Bill’s four children were in attendance for the ceremony that was officiated by Andy Goodman. However, the couple’s one year old toddler wasn’t invited to the vows because he might have been fussy. He showed up later and charmed everyone with his cherub cheeks and sleepy brown eyes.

Following the family photos, Amy, Bill and I dodged a thunderstorm and took some quick couples photos outdoors. Since we were short on time, I picked a stunning red urban wall with climbing ivy and an a colorful alley mural created by a former wedding photography client of mine!

Once they headed back inside, they enjoyed a Devils Food Cake with Whipped Ganache Filling and Moist White Cake with Lemon and Raspberry, Italian Meringue Buttercream, Marbled Fondant and 24 Carat Gold Veining with Gold Tipped Sugar Peony by baker Mary Beth Louis.

Please enjoy some of my favorite photos from their wedding day!
