About Elizabeth: Finding the Magic in the Time We Are Given

Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I appreciate this Lord of the Rings Gandalf quote because I'm a nerd. But also, the message has meaning in both photography and life. It's a reminder to always seek out magic and light in experiences because we all have a finite amount of time on the earth.

I strive to capture the sparkle of a wedding day, transforming fleeting seconds into lasting memories. When you look at your photos, I hope you don't just see pictures, but feel the light and relive the magic of that incredible day all over again.

Your Guide, Advocate, and Storyteller

Most photographers deliver files; I deliver a legacy. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a background in award-winning photojournalism, I don't just take pictures—I curate the story of your day. My editing style is rooted in classical aesthetics, ensuring that when you look at these photos in twenty years, they remain as stunning and relevant as the day they were taken.

More Than Just a Photographer: Your Wedding Photography Partner.

You're not just looking for a photographer; you're looking for someone to help bring your wedding or elopement vision to life.

Understanding the value of a healthy partnership is central to my work—something I've learned firsthand while building a marriage, family, and home with my life partner, Ryan, for the past 15 years. Ryan patiently tolerates my Lord of the Rings obsession and the way I aggressively open packages like a raccoon.

Get To Know Elizabeth

I was born and grew up in the Hocking Hills. I left for a time to earn a BFA in Photography from The Ohio State University and work in museums, galleries, and as a photojournalist. But the woods and fields and little rivers called me home. The birth of my son inspired me to shift to full-time freelance work. Building my small photography business allowed me to focus exclusively on the niche of intimate wedding and elopement photography.

Beyond the Camera: Home Life, Hobbies, and Living a Hobbit Life

When not capturing images, I love spending time with my family: my husband, our two boys, and a full house of pets—including four cats (Oscar, Willow, Goldie, and Cosmo), two rabbits (Toast and Ghost), and Jake the Dog. I'm planning to add five hens to the crew soon. I love exploring nature, hiking, gardening, cooking, and working on art and home renovations. Ultimately, I'm just trying to live an intentional, cozy, Hobbit-y life.

Film in a Digital World

In a world dominated by instant gratification, I find joy in the intentional magic of film photography. For me, it isn’t just about the grain or the way film handles light; it’s about the anticipation of the slow development process and the unique, unrepeatable soul found in each image.

Documenting Your Story, No Matter Who You Are

My photography celebrates all people. Whatever your race, ethnicity, gender identity, body type, sexual orientation, age, or abilities—this is a space for you.

My priority is to create a joyful and safe environment where you can relax, feel comfortable, and experience the magic of photography.

Beyond Photography

Community Focus: Teaching & Advocacy

I've also had the privilege of sharing my passion for photography by teaching at community colleges and non-profit organizations. My dedication to empowering at-risk youth led me to be honored with a Community Mental Health Advocate award by the 317 Board. Committed to making art accessible to everyone, I serve on the board of trustees for Art Possible Ohio.

KIND WORDS

"Our wedding day was an incredibly emotional, meaningful, and (at times) overwhelming day for me, my husband, and our families. Elizabeth truly went above and beyond to treat us with kindness and patience, and I believe that our experience would have been wildly different if it weren't for her."
