Get To Know Elizabeth
I was born and grew up in the Hocking Hills. I left for a time to earn a BFA in Photography from The Ohio State University and work in museums, galleries, and as a photojournalist. But the woods and fields and little rivers called me home. The birth of my son inspired me to shift to full-time freelance work. Building my small photography business allowed me to focus exclusively on the niche of intimate wedding and elopement photography.

Beyond the Camera: Home Life, Hobbies, and Living a Hobbit Life
When not capturing images, I enjoy spending time with my family: my husband, two boys, four cats, and Jake the dog. I love to explore nature and hike, garden, cook and bake, work on home renovation and art projects, and try to live a Hobbit-y life.
Community Focus: Teaching & Advocacy
I've also had the privilege of sharing my passion for photography by teaching at community colleges and non-profit organizations. My dedication to empowering at-risk youth led me to be honored with a Community Mental Health Advocate award by the 317 Board. Committed to making art accessible to everyone, I serve on the board of trustees for Art Possible Ohio.
