When Mary Catherine and Jordan reached out to book their 10th-anniversary session in Hocking Hills, they originally pictured an early morning at Ash Cave. But after she saw photos from Tiffany & Ricky’s elopement, we shifted gears to explore Old Man’s Cave Gorge together.

I showed them iconic spots, they shared stories from their 2016 wedding day, and we all soaked in the beauty of the woods.

Walking these trails and capturing love stories in the place my family has called home for nearly 200 years will forever be my favorite part of what I do.

Alethia and Anthony’s engagement session in Old Ma Alethia and Anthony’s engagement session in Old Man’s Cave Gorge was gorgeous and a whole lot of fun. They rescheduled their original July date due to a loss in the family, but September brought ideal weather and lighting. Navigating Old Man’s Cave on a holiday weekend can be tough, but precise timing allowed us to dodge the usual crowds and practically have the gorge to ourselves. The couple brought amazing energy, complete openness to creativity, and great outfit coordination—choosing neutrals that popped against the deep greenery without clashing. It was also a treat connecting with Anthony, who is a photographer, and seeing the photos from his winter proposal!

Capturing authentic love stories in the Hocking Hills never gets old. If you are looking to plan your own session, I’m booking for 2027. I also have limited availability remaining for late fall and winter sessions between November 16th and December 20th—ideal for capturing cozy, seasonal light before the end of the year!
